Rural Electrification
On the 13th of September 2019, OPE celebrated the groundbreaking ceremony for the first Rural Electrification Project for Oshakati in line with our strategic plan of ensuring total electrification in the areas that we operate and that every household, business, and institutions are connected to the Grid.
The project will cater to 5 identified villages (rural areas) within Oshakati (Othingo, Onendongo, Emono, Onawa, and part of Oshinyadhila and Okaku kIipupu), at a cost estimation of N$5 million, is expected to roll during the next seven years.
